Our OxoElite technology has been designed to control and manage the lifetime of products made from the most common plastics used by modern society. Our OxoElite is biodegradable (not compostable) and recyclable! Yes, recyclable. This is a common misconception. Making OxoElite the perfect choice for any plastic that could be littered or recycled.
OxoElite is added in typically small quantities of 2 to 3% to commodity resins during the manufacture of finished plastic products, using standard manufacturing equipment and processes. Plastic incorporating OxoElite is virtually indistinguishable in appearance and performance from traditional non-degradable plastics until degradation of the product is triggered in accordance with end-user requirements (following its “shelf” or “service” life). These products will ultimately biodegrade in the presence of microbes found in nature without leaving micro-plastics behind.
With ExoElite technology, manufacturers can produce plastics that meet biodegradation requirements, while maintaining their desired properties, making them ideal for applications such as packaging and agriculture.

Our EcoElite line of compostable resins provide effective solutions to meet growing demand for eco-friendly, bio-based goods. The EcoElite line is made renewable material. Because these unique bio-based composites can be formed into a variety of shapes and sizes, they have virtually unlimited applications in the production of both pliable and hard plastic products, including tableware, golf tees, credit cards, and more.
The finished products have the functionality and characteristics equal to those of traditional plastics and we can often times work with our customers to focus on the qualities most important to them.
Compostable products are a great fit for landfill bound products that can be collected and composted in municipal facilities. It is important to note that these facilities do not exist everywhere and that compostable products are NOT recyclable. It’s our policy at EcoPoly to promote products that can be collected and recycled at the end of life and made into new products over and over again. This is the best way to help the planted and reduce the carbon footprint.
