About us:

At Ecopoly and Polyethics, we are committed to delivering the highest quality products to our customers. As we expand our operations, particularly in the mulch and bag sectors, we need a dedicated Plant Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Your Role:

The Plant Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, and improvement of the equipment and systems within the manufacturing facilities to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective operations. Manage projects related to the installation of new equipment, plant upgrades, and facility renovations and ensure compliance based on safety, environmental, and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

System Maintenance & Improvement: Work with production and maintenance groups to oversee plant machinery and systems, ensuring they function efficiently and safely.

Troubleshooting: Work with maintenance team to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to prevent or resolve operational problems.

Process Optimization: Analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

Project Management: Manage projects related to new equipment installations, system upgrades, and plant modifications.

Compliance:Ensure operations adhere to safety, health, environmental, and other industry regulations.

Preventive Maintenance:Work with Maintenance Manager and Plant Managers to develop and implement maintenance programs to proactively address potential equipment failures.

Collaboration: Work closely with vendors, production teams, and management to achieve plant goals.

Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports on plant operations and performance, in accordance with our ISO Standard.

What We’re Looking For:

Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) is required.

PMP or equivalent experience in Project Management is strongly preferred.

5+ years in Manufacturing Environment is a must, with Plastics Extrusion preferred.

Technical expertise with a strong background in electrical and mechanical systems.

Ability to analyze complex situations and find effective solutions.

Capacity to interpret data and identify trends for operational improvements.

Excellent communication skills for interacting with colleagues, management, and external vendors.

Proven ability to manage projects from planning to completion.

Familiarity with methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

A sense of urgency with a strong attention to detail, prioritizing and organization skills are required.
