Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Manager to lead our quality assurance and control initiatives within our manufacturing operations. The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control measures, conducting audits and inspections, identifying areas for improvement, developing and implementing quality assurance processes, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, development, implementation and maintenance of the quality management program
- Perform quality audits, establish quality standards using defined and measurable metrics
- Train all employees to meet quality standards in all areas of the production processes
- Work closely with sales, customer service and the operations team to address customer complaints
- Implement investigation process for managing complaints from start to finish
- Manage the internal auditing program by performing daily/weekly audits
- Develop and implement quality corrective action process
- Provide training to employees and management on quality standards and practices
- Participate in weekly production meetings providing quality updates and prepare detailed reports on quality metrics for executive review and strategic planning purposes
- Monitor finished products to confirm their compliance with quality standards and remove and contain those which fail to comply
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall product quality
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Experience
- Proven experience in manufacturing, quality control, quality inspection, or quality assurance roles within industrial settings, specifically in plastic film and bag production, is preferred
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets related to product quality metrics
- Demonstrated expertise in quality management systems (such as ISO 9001) and QA/QC best practices
- Ability to conduct audits and inspections to identify process inefficiencies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to plastic film and bag production is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, or Manufacturing, is preferred.
